For fuck's sake, stop getting suckered by human interest stories in the Toronto Star. Just about ZERO people are stuck with worthless tickets. If you booked your ticket through a travel agent in BC, Ontario, or Quebec, your ticket is covered through an insurance fund. If you bought it online, call your credit card company and they won't charge you for it.
The people who got screwed the most are those who were somewhere other than home with a return Jetsgo flight, and who had to pay thousands more get back. Of course, none of this would have happened if you hadn't been so fucking cheap as to cut corners on a FLIGHT. If you're so fucking cheap as to cut corners on a commercial airline flight, where they take up you in to 32,000 feet (or 28,000 if you're Jetsgo and your safety manual isn't up to date) in a pressurised metal tube and hurtle you across the sky at ludicrous speeds, then maybe, just maybe, you shouldn't be flying. I made the mistake of flying Jetsgo ONCE, and after my 4-5 hour "delay" at Pearson, with no explanation or apology, and them not replying to my multiple complaint emails, I knew better than to fly with them again.
Bahahaha... or, you could call it the 'elitist snob' cult. Anyways, my family already owns a country club, so no thanks.
