Where to mount the bindings?

I just got my skis back from the store and they just put the bindings on them, and it seemed like the bindings were set to far back. i asked the guy and he said they just used the mark on the ski where the center should be.
Should they be at a different spot for twin-tips?

What twin tip do you have, most shops will put the boot cetre where it falls on teh ski per the manufacture. You could have it moved but you would have to tell them. The shop has to do it where they are taught to, if not you can hold the shop accountable if the ski doesn't ski well, but you can instruct them to move it forward or backwords, you just have to sign that you requested it.

I wouldn't centre mount them, that kinda goofy actually. Your still gonna be skiing forward more often than backward even if you the biggest park rat in the world.
There probably fine where they are mounted, the skis have that line on them for a reason, because thats where the binding should be mounted, the whole centre mount thing is just a gimmick.

people wouldnt put the line if it didnt matter...moving the mounting possition of the whole ski and ruins what companies have been creating in the way of technology... u might as well go buy some skis at a garage sale and bend up the ends.
have u eva seen a brother play mandalay?

Yeah, dont mess around. Keep your bindings mounted where the should be. That line can mean a lot.

alright, and im sure that volkl took into consideration the fact that the skis were twin-tips when they marked where the center should be
