You guys have to come and check out the Midwest’s premier park @ Marquette Mountain, Michigan. I have returned from a season running a park cat for June/Mammoth Unbound. I am home to finish school and am stoked to bring back some mad cat skills. I was lucky enough to work with some of the best park builders in the industry. I picked their brains and annoyed them with questions at every chance I had. You can expect the smoothest hits and rails in the Midwest. I will be posting photos throughout the season. The first of the photos are in the rail section, check them out and let me know what you think.

Ahh... the rail in the picture will be setup so that it is reasonably safe. With a really nice shaped pile of snow under it so if one were to fall off the top they would have a little transition to break the fall rather than flat ground. Ouch

It wont be running at 100% by xmas, they cant make enough snow, and for bohemia, I dont count on it.

X-mass is possible it all depends on the November temps, Marquette got 14 new snow guns this year. As for Chicago your only 6 or 7 hours straight north through Greenbay. Personaly i would drive the 13 hours to Brek. Bohemia I wouldn’t count on that till after January.

6-7 hours is a little much when you don't have to enough money for lodging, unless I can figure out a way to keep my car warm. TONS AND TONS Of Blankets!!!!!!!!!

Bohemia is fun during xmas. Last year they got like little snow during xmas so there were only 10 people on the hill. The Bears den wasnt open mainly because there wasnt enought snow but my dad talked them into letting us ski it. so i got to ski the bears den in fresh pow. I wanted to ski the backcountry but it wasnt covered enough. Hopefully they will have enough snow this year so i can ski it. anyway does anybody know of there new area is like called haunted something opening. its supposed to like add a lot more runs and a new lift to the place
