whats it mean to disaster a rail?

say you're going to do a drop kink.. you gap over the flat part and land down the kink.. disaster

i think it means you just have to clear a gap before the rail. They had a disaster to rail in an old freeze. I think they did a safety grab too.

yeah any gap to rail. say you have a flat down. if you 270 to down without hitting flat part of rail. it's called a 270 disaster

ya its not just any gap to rail. you have to gap over at least one segment of the rail, be it a flat or a down slope. im pretty sure noone gaps a down slope and lands on the flat though, cuz that would hurt alot

according to travis rice on my "snowboard on demand" videos, a disaster is when you approach a down flat down rail, and gap the down and flat, and land om the second down.

gapping the flat on a flat down or both the first down and flat on a down flat down are both disasters.
