all around skis

I'm lookin for the best all around twin. I'm 6'0' 190 and I ski out around lake tahoe, so there'll be some ice, but mainly busted up crud and some powder. I want a twin so that i can ride park too. I just got a job at a ski shop so i get a pro form and we sell k2, salomon, volkl, dynastar, atomic, rossi and head, so i'm goin with one of those brands. I'm thinkin a fat twin would be best. I was thinking about the pocket rockets, but i hear they're kinda soft for crud, and i was also thinkin about the scratch bc, stomps, shit like that. let me know, i also think i may be able to get a deal on the seth's but we'll see. suggest bindings too, i've got some normal salomon 912s, but not ti. thanks.

if you've ever skied around tahoe, u know how wet and heavy that shit gets, so keep that in mind cause i saw one review say that the pocket rockets are bad in that type.

I can't tell you what ski to buy, but if you work in a shop you don't need to only buy whatever they sell. You can usually get any proform as long as your manager signs it and/or you send a copy of your paystub. This includes Line and others.

demo is your best bet, ask around people at the shop and your moutain, thats how i picked mine all on advice, read up reviews writen by people in your area

Stomps tooo heavy, forget about them, i got a pair, had them for a week (never skied on them and took them back)
Last Years Pocket Rockets too soft
BC Scratch a tiny bit better
New Pocket Rocket a little better than the BC
1080 new a lot wider than the normal park ski, good bet
Public Enemy also a really good bet if you can wait

New 1080 definately a good choice (go long). They aren't a pow ski, but they are 80 in the waist. I've tested most of the new stuff except the BC and it was definately my favourite ski for all around.

Everyone has their own preferences.

v pro is super nice....

why buy if you could just take demos from the shop and have a ski specific to the riding you wanna do that day though? just a thought...

ok the pocket rockets are unchanged from last years which means that this years wont be any better, but i would say that the 182 motherships would be the best, fat twin, got enough pop for the park..... (turpin told me that that would be his skis of choise if he was still with line) and and there there one of the lightest skis ive every felt especially for there size, you have to try them to belive it

there kinda soft but there stiffer than the rest of the lines, except the new darkside.
