Really bad thumb, PLEASE HELP

hi.
last season whilt in the park my thumb got a repetative beating. It swelled up to enormous proportions when i gave it a whack and would really hurt. but the pain would stop realtivly quickly. But it meant that it was really delicate for weeks afterwards.
I didnt bend it back its more on top of the 2nd joint. and it REALLY hurts when i try to close my thumb into a fist.
has anyone heard of this and if so could you please give me some advise it would be much appreciated.

happens to me pretty much everytime i ski. meh, at least its not a broken leg right

Just use medical tape. And tape it up so when your thumb gets hit it won't move. Your thumb needs about a month to heal otherwise it'll just get worse and worse and it'll take longer to heal.

I busted my thumb last winter on a rail doing a Busch Can Slide, and now I seem to bust it up all the time! It sucks, had to tape it for quite awhile!
lanemeyers your looking for chicks on a male dominated web site, you might have better luck picking up some scrump if you skied.
p.s. I don't usually say things like that but come on you want girls, go to a bar or something not a damn ski site. By the way p----- isn't really like warm apple pie, someday you just might find that out.

that happened to me too, i went to the doctors and it was broken. so they gave me a splint and now its better. go get an x-ray

go to the doctors soon and get an x-ray. i repeatedly banged up my left thumb for the last couple of seasons. it hurts to bend it into a fist just like you, but i went to the doctor and he said there was nothing he could do and i was going to have to live with it. it really fucking sucks.
