hey guys, i bought some scratch 174's, scratch 100 bindings and rossi soft 1 boots, im an really good skier, and im gonna ski 50/50, all mountain+powder and park im 5'3 145 lbs, and i was wondering if you think this is a good choice?

holy shit dude, are you sure you want the 174's? im 5'6' and im riding a 165 this year and it is my full length, up to my hair, i would go down to the size in the 160's cause for park and pipe if ur gonna be spinning thats a lot of stick to move

eh...sounds good but u should get the 168(5'6') at yer 5'4' height it would be good for 50/50

its all preference, i like it at my nose so then i have mroe control over them, its easier to spin with a shorter stick too, like 2 inches doesnt matter that much, does it?

I'm 5'10 and i ride 185s. I also ride 193s. You guys need to stop being wusses and buy some real sized skis. You'll be able to do just as much on a pair of 174s as you would on a pair or 165s or 185s. Besides, short skis don't look nearly as good in the air as long skis.

If you call rossignol, or any other manufacturer, they will tell you that weight is what matters. Your skis move differently by the force you put into them (ie, your weight). Your height has little influence. The 174 should be fine for you, but the 168 might be better for your weight as long as you don't ride in deep pow all the time. Tricks will be easier on the 168.

but its 3 inches, and im 13 almost 14, and growin pretty fast so by winter ill prolly way more and be taller, so im a 174 guy i think, and its only like 3 inches isnt it?

dude go with the 174 you'll have grown into your skis by christmas. did you get the FS or the BC. The FS is cenetered, so it'll be easy to spin no matter what, but the BC is better for the 50/50.
