Old enough to drink, have sex and do drugs.

My younger sister had a party last night and all of them were like grade 10's. It was the most pathetic thing I had ever seen, they were all nearly passed out at 8 o clock at night, then they came back alive later on and some of them i caught sniffing gravol, some were just being normal, some were passed out and a lot of them had puked. I hadn't seen anything like that in my life really it was so gay. What is the point of getting fucked up and passing out so early, and they are all good friends why would they even want all that crap. Man, the next morning when all of them were gone, i gave my sister this huge lecture, i felt like a parent or something, weird shit. I guess it's a double standard or somethin, i do drugs and drink and shit just like my sis and her friends, but it just seems so retarded when my sis and her friends are doing it. I almost feel like grounding her or something, she just seems like she doesn't care about anything that happens or that could happen. By the way our parents had taken a weekend trip to toronto so they weren't there to do anything and they probably won't find out. Fuck, im confused about this type of shit, i never want to have kids of my own after this.

I've noticed myself how sad mid teens are when they party. It doesn't even look like fun. But then i remind myself that i too was young once and probably did the exact same thing...i just can't remember :-)

yeah. my brother's in grade 10 (14 years old). It's just weird. walking by and seeing people on his msn list that have names like 'smoke a bowl drink a keg and get fucked up in the head'. I don't know wether to tell them they're lame or just show them up.

West, you hit the nail on the head man. Everyone was all fuckin wrapped up in trying to act stoned and drunk that they were so fuckin annoying. I was never loud like that when i was that age, i just wish everybody could stay chill, talk and laugh and stuff, but it seems like that isn't enough anymore ya gotta make an ass out of yourself to be cool nowadays, you gotta get so fucked that you pass out or puke all over the place to say that you got fucked up. Why can't people sit around, get fucked up and have a normal time instead of bein so gay about it.

i dont like people who think its cool that they smoke and tell people about it. last weekend i was at my friends place and i kid came by, he was like what up? IM SO STONED! people like that make me mad, you dont need to try and show off the fact that you burn. another kid i know tries to act like a hippie way too much. he goes out and buys every grateful dead tshirt he can, and he doesnt listen to them that much. last week he bought a $65 dollar pair of patchwork pants. ok this is kinda long so im stopping

Yep, the older you get the more you notice things like that. I'm 21, and i can't believe they let 16 year olds drive. I mean, kids driving around in these huge SUV's..makes me scared to walk on the sidewalk. Yep. When i was 16 i thought it was stupid to have the drinking age at 19, now it seems just about right. Don't want kids to have it too easy. Yup, the older you get, the more you realize how immature most teenagers are, and the more you feel like you need to control what they're doing. Everyone bitches that their parents are jerks and don't let you do anything fun and how if you ever have kids, it's gonna be totally different, but then as you get older, the more responsible you become, and the more you become just like mom and dad.

Basically, growing up sucks bigtime.

i actually don't mind getting older. Like, people treat you so much better just cuz you aren't some little punk kid, and plus i am still young enough to have an excuse for all the stupid things that i do.

Plus, i can still have a young girlfriend :-)

This doesn't really have anything to do with this thread, but has anyone become really aware of STD's lately? I am not too sure why, but i've noticed that EVERYWHERE there is talk about how big hte aids crisis is and stuff like that. I read a figure that said 1 in 20 americans are HIV positive. That is a fucking scary statistic, and it's only going to get worse from hereonin.

Can anyone actually imagine living in a world where STD's are so common that people's ID's have whether or not they are HIV+? Cuz i seriously think that without some sort of cure that's how bad it's going to get.

it calms upset stomachs caused by like motion sickness. It also puts you to sleep.

I really wish stupid little kids would realize that crushing up anything and sniffing it is a BAD idea! The only things that should be sniffed, should only be in powder form and not compressed using differen chemical binders and talc and shit.

I threw a rock at my buddy on the weekend. I was drunk, as was he, and he was paddling around this island we were camping on and I started huckin rocks at him as a joke to hit his boat and one cracked him in the head. I feel bad.... He was bleeding! He just laughed though because in the Spring he drove my dad's four-wheeler through the back of my garage!

Hmm.. about 16 year olds driving. I remember when I got my license, I burned my tires out once, and speeded for the first couple days, but after that I basically drove pretty much the speed limit, and not wild, never have had an accident or a ticket. But the scary statistic is that each year 80% of teenagers wreck the family car.

I totally feel you guys on trying to act cool when you're drunk. I'm about to be 19, and I started drinking when I was 12. I've always gotten drunk to that point where you can walk straight, not slur, and just enjoy the buz and social atmosphere, I never understood people understood people stumbling around when I was 15, now I'm in college and I still look down on how some people drink here, there's never any reason to get alcohol poisoning, and if you're a girl, not remember what happened the night before if you were w/ a guy.

to the guy who doesn't understand why people drink a lot more than their body can handle - sometimes the occation calls for getting completely smashed and passing out in your own puke. yea, getting alcohol poisoning and having to get your stomach pumped is retarded, but i've always just passed out before i get to that state.

but about the original topic in this thread - i have a sister who is two years older than me, we've had two partied at our house, and both of them my sister was bitching at me - and it was annoying. the last one I was in grade 11 (i guess i was 15?) and she was actually trying to tell me not to drink anymore, even though my body could handle a lot more booze (and it did). but the way I see things (coming from the younger sibling) everyone goes threw the same stages in growing up. now snorting gravol is retarded, but hey - if they want to do it they can - if they get sick, well, they'll know better next time.
don't try to live your sisters life, let her make her own mistakes, and if they end up in a hospital bed or jail cell than they'll be smarted next time.

yah i can understand that darryl but think about it this way, when your older you get a lot more worried, and it's a little different that your a guy. I mean what if my sis got pregnant or something, what if her best friend got pregnant, i mean her friend's mom and my mom are like best friends, it would like break them apart if something like that happened. i was the oldest there, i was in charge, it all goes to me and my parents, my sister would get in no shit. Man parties at your own house are a bad idea, it's better to just party at other places.
