WARNING: never, ever fart in the shower. the gas must react with the water, and it smells stronger/worse, and then the walls and everything stop the smell from spreading, so you get trapped in a gas chamber.

yeah i fart in my dads lake all the time and its quite possibly the worst smell over, youre right about water reacting with the smell.

maybe it's kind of the same principle's as how a bong works... perhaps there are chemicel's (how the fuck do you spell that word?) in a fart that mask the odour a bit, and when it's filtered threw water those chem's are taken out and all that is left is dirty fart smell. so instead of changing the gas to something different it is just purifying it.

either the filter theory is what does it
or the water, the h2o bit, reacts with the gas molecules which are expelled from your anus, creating a worse and stronger smelling chemical gas.
and then it is all trapped by the shower walls/door/curtain, to create a gs chamber effect

I always thought farts smelled less in the shower. Cause the water pushes them down to the bottom.

I wonder what would happen if everyone in the world farted at the same time? I think the atmosphere would fill with sulfuric gas and everyone would die. Then someone would try to light a cigarette and then the whole planet would ignite into a huge fireball...................................................or not. It would be like the brown noise on south park where everyone shits their pants at the same time.
