Should I get Scratch FS or Dynastar Concept? I am about 6'2' and 180. I would get a 180. I live in Jersey, but i also ski in Vermont and this year i plan to go to Vail and Beaver Creek alot. So i need a ski that can rip in the park and on groomed and powder. anyone that has tried or demoed these skis please help. i was also wondering how you can tell the difference between the new and old scratches. thanks.

either one would work. the diff between the old new Scratch is that the new one doesn't have the problem the old one had so now its really durible. so either ski would work. the Scratch is a bit wider just to let ya know

I think my icon speaks for itself..lol yea but seriously from what I've heard about the concept you cant go wrong it either. I do however feel that all of this negative talk about the Scratch was concerning the old 'version' of it so if you got the new ones the binding/stress fracture issues would be solved..have fun on whatever you get..peace

yeah i know about the plate but i ment grapics wise and color of the new ones, i heard there are REally tiny graphic differences and they are a little more dull.

yea, concepts are on the light side. very good for east coast but also all around the mountain. ive heard mixed reactions to the scratches, but only good thigns about concepts.

I agree the Concepts are really nice I have the Concepts from 2001 which I just love. but I'm starting to think there to big for where I live and ski know. when I bought them I lived In IRonwood, MI so I was skiing powder alot. but know I like in Southeastern WI and ski flat shit and more park. they are 180's and I'm only 5'5 about 125 or 130 lbs so I think there to big. Iam thinking about getting a new pair just not sure if I should go to the smaller Size like 165 or stick with the 178's. let me know what you guys think. thanks erick

for you new concepts, or candides. Definately. You pbly won't ride them in pow, because ppl like us need some pretty fat skis. Built ppl,i hope i m not wasting my time and your just fat, but i doubt it
