Late movies + identity theft...

Woah... strange... I just got a call that claimed that i rented a DVD 2 weeks ago and never returned it... the worst part is, I dont have a membership to the placee that called, and I've never been there. Hell.. the place is in a town which I wouldn't go to anyways. It's too far out of the way.

The problem is that they asked for me by name, and they had my phone number. Yet I never signed up there, and I sure as hell didnt rent any DVDs... I dont rent movies anyways, I haven't for years...

WIERD SHIT.. what do video places do if you don't give back movies?

See, what happened is that they called me and asked for me by name... my full name, which is just wierd as fuck. And the DVD was some wierd chick flick that I've never even WANTED to see, nevermind would pay to rent.

my dad once rented a snes game and he liked it so much that he kept it. they made him pay like $20 for late fees and $50 to keep the game

I still have a movie i rented from Avalanche Video in banff...i've had it for 3 years now. I also have an 80 dollar charge at superior video in kenora for a video game i rented and forgot to return for 6 days. I wish i'd of just kept it.

Anyways..usually the charge for not returning a movie is around 100 bucks from what i've heard. Going after you to pay for it or taking you to court isn't worth the 100 bucks, so they'll probably just write it off.
