Replying to Wrote a story on skiing
Yo check this out i know its long but its cool. It was for my school chmistry class All we had to do was write a story based on showing the scientific method: CJ Jones was a normal kid in Big Sky, Montana. Just like all normal kids in Big Sky he loved skiing. He even dropped out of school as soon as he turned 16 so he could ski full time. He loved skiing the backcountry, but loved even more to huck himself silly off jumps and do all kinds of funked out tricks. However at the end of the last skiing season on the last day the mountain was open something very unfortunate happened to CJ. The thing all skiers dread. He broke a ski. This made him very sad, and he had to buy a new pair of skis now for the next season. He had a very hard decision on his hands now. The question of which skis should he buy.
So CJ began watching the ski movies he owned like Ski Movie II, and Propaganda. He even borrowed his friend, Chris's, ski movies, Subject to Change, and Tee Time. He watched all these movies over and over paying very close attention to which skis each professional used. He noticed the size of the pro and the size of their ski and compared it to himself and what type of terrain each pro skied and compared it to the terrain he skied. After careful observations he came up with the idea that he would ski well on three models of skis, one the Line 1260, two the Salomon 1080, and three the Rossingnol Scratch FS. He suspected he would ski best on the Rossingnol Scratch FS's but he wanted to try all of them to make sure. He decided when winter came, which was approaching very fast, he would rent each of these skis for a day so he could test which of these skis he actually wanted to buy.
Winter soon rolled around and everyone was happy when the mountain opened for skiing again. CJ decided he would first rent the Salomon 1080's and see how he liked them. He went to the mountain very early. He was the first one on and never stopped skiing the whole day. He wouldn't even stop to eat lunch he ate while on the ski lift. He was soon throwing his big tricks again and felt very comfortable on the 1080's. At the end of the day he decided he would try a trick he had never landed before and whichever skis he landed it on he would buy. The trick was the infamous rodeo 450 backflip disaster to railslide to 270 out. It was a super difficult trick few pros had even landed. He was nervous while preparing to attempt the trick. He felt very confident on it though. He build up a lot of speed approaching the jump. He launched off of it and started flipping and spinning, he was nearly ready to get ready to transfer to the railslide when BAM! All of the sudden he had landed straddling the rail. OUCH! He was very disappointed and talked in a soprano voice for the rest of the day.
The next day he woke up very sore but was determined to test out the Line 1260's that day and again try the rodeo 450 backflip disaster to railslide to 270 out. So once again CJ got out on the slopes and practiced all day. At the end of the day he was feeling very good on the 1260's and confident he would land the trick. So again he approached the jump with a lot of speed and launched off of it. He successfully completed the rodeo 450 backflip and even landed on the rail but he lost control and smashed his face into the rail knocking out half of his teeth. He couldn't even talk after that but was very sad he didn't land it.
The third day he woke up again and felt pretty beat up, but he knew he could heal later so he decided to go out that day on the Rossingnol Scratch FS's to see how they. For the third day in a row he was the first on the mountain and again practiced hard all day. CJ loved these skis, although he was very sore and hurt he could really feel the skis helping him ski better than ever before. At last the end of the day came and there was a big crowd gathered to watch CJ try to land this trick. He was even more nervous now even though he felt most comfortable on these skis. So, he took off towards the ump building a lot of speed again and threw himself off the jump. He started rotating and flipping and just as he finished he felt his skis hit the metal surface of the rail, he was on and he started sliding, he was nearing the end and prepared to throw the 270 off. He hit the end of the rail and jumped off rotating as fast as he could, then he felt the snow under the skis and knew he had landed it. He was overjoyed with emotion and knew he had found the skis for him.
CJ was skiing towards the bottom of the mountain to go home and rest. He was skiing slow basking in his glory when all of the sudden a lunatic snowboarder from New York came barreling down the mountain towards him. The snowboarder had no idea how to control himself and smashed into CJ. CJ woke up in a white hospital room. When the idiot snowboarder hit him it broke both of his legs and he wouldn't be able to ski at all that season. He was very sad. The only thing that kept him through those months when he couldn't ski was knowing Rossingnol was now sponsoring CJ. He would get the skis he wanted for free and not having to worry about going back to school because he had a contract with Rossingnol assuring him 15 years on the team and lots of money. So CJ took it easy that winter and played lots of Johnny Mosely's Mad Trix for PS2 and looked forward towards the next year.
Afterward:
A group of ski bums from Big Sky caught up with the idiot snowboarder who had hit CJ and smacked him around a bit making him swear to never step foot on any ski mountain again. THE END
