Base scratching

How much does the base of a ski get scratched when doing a rail slide? Will a tune-up get the scratches out?

Yes, this thread is absurdly old, but really, your base doesn't get scratched at all from rails, unless there's screws sticking out or the rail/box, and you're absolutely retarded and invent some way to slam yourself so hard onto the box that pressure creates a huge indent.

u bases shouldn't get scratch much the wax will come off ont he rail.... but yeah a tune up will fix that shit

ya this thread is old but my bases don't really get scratched but there is some wierd colours on it now (i guess its from the paint on the rail)

stop being a weiner.. it dosent scratch your base very much, actually it barely scratches it, and why would yo pay for a tune up, do it yourself.
