Cheap snowmaking

alright this might have been a previous post by another cult member but i cant find the answer anywhere:

on a low budget what do i buy and how much cash will i need to make my own snow maker??

Okay well here are the basic setup's and prices:


*****Cheapest Option: The Tee Gun*****

What you'll need --
(1) Air Compressor (see other threads to find details about the compress you'll need)$100-200

(2) About $40 worth of parts that you can get at home depot. (see other threads for 'Tee Gun' plans

(3)A garden hose and a water source (Free!)

The tee gun will make close to 1 inch every 2 hours. (Small area..)

*****Best Option: The Sue15b Gun*****

(1) Air Compressor $100-$200
(2) Pressure Washer (see other threads)$100-$300
(3) About $100 worth of parts. (1 specialized nozzel)

(4) Water supply , garden hose

This gun is far superior and is worth the extra cash. This gun (that I have) can put out about 1-2 inches an hour in a REALLY large area. Say 20' X 40'.

That is the website that I personally found my plans. I made the sm4. All guns require a compressor as Jason said in the post above. That can run anywhere from 120 up. I have heard good things about eaton compressors. The guns all run off the same concept so once you understand it you can branch off with new things.

can u buy a used compressor on ebay for like $75? what are some good types that are high quality?
