sorry to post so many times but things keep coming up. I have my gun built and everything i need except for the hoses. I simply need 2 hoses with 1/2 male fittings on the ends. Hydraulic hose seems reasonable if i can get it at a good price. Any other suggestions or where I could get it? Thanks, you guys have been very helpful thus far.

umm.. I got my hoses at Home Depot. I remember them having 3/8in hoses but im not sure about 1/2. I know they had mail fittings on both ends. Check out your local home depot or lowes, Also, yhou can always put a 3/8 to 1/2 little converter thingy on there if you cant find the hose your hooking for. Also, are we talking about the air hose here? cause that is what im talking about.

Umm.. what type of gun did you build?

so now im thinking two hoses meant for presuure washers 3/8 inch...they have them on pressure-washer-parts.com . They can with stand 2000 psi and cold temps so I think they are exactly what i need.. Ill let you guys know how it goes once I get them

go to www.pressure-washer-parts.com and you should be able to find the right PW hose and adaptor.

ok so i have my gun built and the hoses ordered...i ended up getting a quality rubber air hose off ebay and a pressure washer hose.... I will start to do some testing with it once the hoses arrive...any other tips or tricks you can give me? thanks guys this board rocks

i have a guestion for you... is this your first time you have ever made snow? or did you have a simpler gun before..? anyway, i think once you get the parts you will get a better understanding right away. it is one thing to talk about building a gun... it is another to actually use one. once you start testing, you will gain a LOT of knowledge very quickly.

well i didnt want to get ridiculed but im a smart kid and figured i would hop in the deep end first...i built the gun and have everything and im ready to start testing...haha dont make fun of me if you think that was a mistake to start with this gun..i just love building things and challenges..i wouldnt mind if i had to fiddle with this all winter...it would give me something to do besides tv

haha, no no man. its not a problem at all... i was just curious to see if you had done this before or not. it makes it easier to answer your questions knowing if you are new to snowmaking or not. anyway, its sick that you are up for a challenge. im sure youll do fine. especially with this board which gets tons of hits in the winter. but ya man, once you get testing. youll figure it all out in like an hour.
