The new Sue15B in Action!

Those are some pictures of the new gun.. So far i've blown for a total of about 6 hours and i have 4 inches over a HUGE part of my yard.. (About 120' x 40') I've had to battle some major winds but it all worked out in the end. The gun uses a pressure washer and an air compressor.. Here are some specs:

(1) 2400 PSI, 6.5 HP Pressure Washer

(2) 5CFM @ 90 PSI compressor (Usually runs at 110 PSI)

(3) I can blow 2.2 Gallons Per Minute

Oh, and one more thing, We havent had real snow since December 16th.. So my yard is completely BARE!

Hahaha! Jason,

You are most likely putting out more then 2.2 gpm... See that is how much water your pressure washer puts out with one nozzle not 2 4002's like on your gun.

For example, my pressure washer says 1.3 gpm, but I put out 1.75 gpm.

The sue15b makes soo much great powdery snow. It's is so sweet. I am so glad we got a sue15b gun! YAY SNOW!

Yesterday I blew snow with my Hago gun for 12 hours. I made 12 inches of snow over a very big area. The wind took lots of the snow that would have made the pile much much bigger and blew it behind the gun. I had over 3 inches behind the gun. I also blew a small amount on my rail and then stopped because we started getting natural snow. I am using a 1/16 inch hose barb that is cut so it is about 1/4 inch from the Hago to prevent all freeze ups. I am also putting 120 psi through it. The two Hago nozzles I normally use now are the 3.50 GPH, 45 degree, semi hollow and the 3.00 GPM, 30 degree, semi hollow. After testing them I think that the 3.00 makes more snow and large range of qualitys. The stuff right by the gun is very hard packed and kind of wet the stuff far from it is lighter packed and super dry, the stuff in between is hard packed and pretty dry. If only I had a bigger water pump. Then I could pump out much more snow than I am now. The pressure washer I have now is a 1.6 GPM at 1300 psi. Nice job on your sue15b. Looks like your putting down a ton of snow!

Oh yeah, Great pictures.. I do think you are right though... You do need a little nice pressure washer...

What kind of pressure washer is it???? It isn't a CH is it? Because those suck for the most part... Other then that I would say you gun works great...

You might want to look into a better pump sp you can make more snow, but the gun is sweeeeeeeet....

Did you have any freezing problems with your hago??? I am haveing a few problems with mine freezeing so I think I will back mine alittle farther away from the hago nozzle like you did...

Its for my science fair project. Its to measure the snow depth at each one and put it into a program that makes a picture/chart of the snow pile. It is a CH but so far ice had absoultly NO problems with the pressure washer not working. It works just fine but with a bigger pump I would make lots more. I have no idea why everyone says to run the hose barb right up on the Hago. Every professional machine does not do that. There are multiple advantages to cutting it back about 1/4 inch from the Hago. One is that it almost never freezes. The only freeze up ive had with it cut back as much as I have it is once in my whole 12 hour run. This was when there was a LOT of wind and the mist was blowing back at the gun so much that some froze on the barb and build up on it and finally caused a freeze up. Another is that the air has more time to expand before it hits the water and that cools the water more. If you use a small 1/16 inch hose barb also you can run it at over 100 psi with a big enough compressor(I run 120 psi) and that makes the air expand a heck of a lot more that with a 1/8 or 3/32 one when it exits the barb which cools it even more. The only advantage I see with having it close up to the Hago is that you could probly run the gun with less air but using a 1/16 inch hose barb with it cut down would be about the same or easier on your compressor as running a 3/32 up at the Hago.

Yes,

CH pressure washers burn out very quick.... The also don't always push good pressure... What water pressure do you run at.... I always try to run about 600 psi....

Well im building a new pump now. I just ordered a Pumptec 4gpm at 1600psi on closeout for 25 dollars used once. Or you can get them 50 new. I also ordered the unloader and pulse hose. I just need the pulleys which I know the ones I need and a motor. I am either getting a 2 or 3 HP Harbor Freight motor. The more HP motor the more the pump puts out but with 3 HP it should put out about 3.5 GPM at 1250 PSI or 4 GPM at 750 PSI. A 2 HP will put out about 2.3 GPM at 1250 PSI or 3.6 at 750 PSI.

Me too I am also building a 4 gpm at 2000 psi pump....

I bought everything I need but the pulleys and belt... It might be better if you went with a two hour motor because 4 gpm at 750 psi will make the water droplets way to small and not all the water will reach the ground because it evaporated.

The 2 hp motor is cheaper and if you go any big then 2 hp you will most likely have to install a new electrical outlet that can handle the volts and amps....

I hope to post pictures of my pump soon.

Oh yeah it is best to run you gun between 500 and 600 psi...

With that higher GPM I can then run 2 4005 nozzles up top. That should keep the droplets smaller and also the unloader will adjust the flow so I dont have to run it all out. I am not concerned about the power it takes as long as its 115 volts and not 230v or 3 phase.

hahaha yes I see.

I am think about running 3 4003 nozzles and on really cold nights a 4004 nozzle and 2 4003 nozzles.... This should make high quality snow.... Using three misting nozzle....

Yes, I also ordered an unloader for my pump too...

Well, now all I can do is sit and what for this pump and motor to come...
