Hey, I think we should all take a minute to drop a message to Daniel Boggan, Jr., the chief executive officer of the NCAA, and let him know how the ski community feels about his organizations' refusal to allow Jeremy Bloom to keep his skiing sponsorships. Here's the link to message him: Daniel Boggan, Jr.
And here's a message you can copy and paste if you don't feel like writing anything.
Mr. Boggan:
By the recent court decision regarding Olympic skier Jeremy Bloom and his skiing sponsorships, you have disreputed both yourself and your entire organization. Bloom's sponsorships are essential to his ability to continue competition on an Olympic level, and by forcing him to drop these sponsorships in order to compete in another sport shows that the NCAA is dedicated to furthering athletics only where its own gain is concerned. Bloom's extraordinary abilities to compete at high levels in both freestyle skiing and football are amazing at the very least, and you have denied this great athlete the means of competition and progression. The ski community at large is disgusted with the NCAA's lack of sportsmanship and total disregard for an athlete that deserves more. The Olympics means more than college football, and you know it as well as I do.
Signed,
Please take a minute to drop this note.
