Dude you'll be blown away. The gondola ride is 12 minutes and it takes about 20 minutes to straight line the hill. Right off the chairlift is are 40,60, and 80 foot cliffs on your skiers right. And on the left are about 30 mini chutes which are fuckin hazardous if you fall. A half hour hike will get you to the top peak of the mountain and you feel like you are in Valdez the snow so deep, They jumps you could build are endless. If you are over eighteen then rent yourself a snowmobile and head out on the trail. Cause if you don't make powder day at the hill then its gonna be hard to find the fresh. My buddies friend was taking pics of seth when he was up their last year. Seth and the MSP crew teamed up with some snowboarders and built the gnarly jump. IT IS INSANE. If your up there for awhile then I would say 2 or 3 days at Golden Max, then go to Revelstoke, Nelson, Then Castle Mountain. That is the best road trip in the world. Everymountain has so much snow. And the drive is amazing. Not to mention the bud. fuck if your used to east coast stuff your gonna get knocked off your ass. 4:20 in nelson is celebrated by all. HAVE FUN FAUCKER

KHP has the most unbelievable alpine ever!!!! THe top half of the mountain is basically huge rollers and we got fresh snow there after like weeks of nothing, we were still finding stashes! THe lift tickets are cheaper than most, the gondola ride is worth the price alone and even the girls that work there are smoking!!! Defiently going back there this winter!!! Get soemone to show you around!

2 hrs form calgary airport. But the road is fucking crazy. So many people die on it each winter. And whoever said nice little place. Yeah maybe 6 years ago. It is really big now. Its owned by some swedes, and it is gonna be expanding huge. Its all old Heliski zones. Really cool. You'll see it in the new MSP.

kicking horse is way further then 2 hours from calgary airport. Banff is an hour and a half from calgary, and kicking horse is at least 2 hours past banff. So you're looking at 3.5 - 4 hours from calgary.

Ive made it in two. plus nobody drives the speed limit here. Go 140. its a 2 hr trip. banff is 40 minutes from my house. Its super nice. A bus pass ifs like 30 dollars to Golden and it costs like 9 bucks to stay the night 7 at the hostel. If your american its like under 5 bucks. even if your a bum. you can afford that by dancing infront of a store in like an hour.

yup...i was way off. I was sure i remembered it being way longer..but i haven't been in 2 years, so i guess it's fuzzed.
It's 262kms or 164 miles from the Calgary airport.
I hope they scrap the plans for the stairway to heaven lift. Blue Heaven should definitly be left for people willing to hike for it.

Actually this place really sucks.- Dont go!!!!!!!!
No it doesnt. Its actually a damn good place. Better than any of the others in the area. They know who they are.
And it is almost exactly a 3 hour drive. Especially from the airport. And thats if conditions are good and you are going somewhat above the speed limit. If they arent, have a nice drive.
The hill is so dope though. The best is to get or rent a transiever and go hiking though. Unless there is snow inbounds of course. Go to the skiers right of the gondola and hike up and over the peak your see. Thats where you find superbowl. It has that name for a reason. Thats where that jump was made. It honestly wasnt that great of one though but still cool. This is also where there is so much terrain youll never want to leave. The left is super good too. This is where on one of the trailers you this year, cant think of which one, Dana flahr drops that sizeable cliff.
The good thing about the place is that if its tracked out somewhere, just hike into the next bowl. The bowls all funnel back into the runs.
This means little hiking for a lot of freshness. I could go on for a long time on the place and tell you exactly everything thats good, but go find out for yourself.
Not much for park however, but bring a shovel and make your own. Some of the biggest jumps Ive hit were there.
If you want to see pictures too. Go to biglines.com 's picture place and search for kicking horse. Youll get lots.
But i still think you shouldnt go.

Heavymedal not owned by Swedes. Its owned by Grousemtn resorts ltd based out of Vancouver. Devun Walsh's girlfrineds paretns are the owners of Grouse Mtn resorts ltd. so I guess they own it. Supposedly they are expanding it and making it even bigger. It is based out of Golden BC.. a shitty little logger town. Looks really sick though.
