hey how u all doin.
ok i am probably gonna get twin tips this year. I want good park skis but they need to handle all mountain and powder too. I am 5ft 11, 143lbs (65 kgs). I am thinking pretty much of 1080s.
Now i can either go with last seasons 1080s, or this seasons. Obviously last seasons are alot cheaper, but do u think its worth spending more and getting this years?
I can get last seasons for £207.20 and i tihnk this seasons will be about £270 (neither include bindings)
If i should get the 1080s, what length do u reckon is best for me? im tihnking the 169s, but do u tihnk 177s would be better?
i get such mixed reveiws about teh 1080s, especially people saying they suck cuz they de-lam really easily? is this common or does it only happen to a few people. bear in mind thati wont be doing no HUGE shit this year atleast so they wont be under too much strain.
does anyone think i shouldnt get 1080s, and get something else?
i can also get last seasons Skogan Sprang Pro
for £188.30 and this seasons probably for about £270.
I dont know what of this seasons models are avaliable yet cuz my shops havent got themselves sorted yet but i think all salomon and line should be available, and maybe a few others.
so what do u all think? what should i get...

I wouldn't get this years 1080's, I've heard nothing but bad things about them. I would say go for either last years 169cm 1080's, or the Skogens are a good ski too.
Definately not this year's teneighty though, there are so many skis better than it, Scratch fs, concept, skogen, all very good skis. I'm going with the 178 concepts this year.

169 just because you weigh so little.
last years are a lot better than this years i have both and that would be my opinion.

If you buy last years ski, will only get warrenbty on them for this season. If you buy this years, you will have warrenty for this season and next season. The 1080s have changed alot from last year, so its hard to say what they will be like. I've heard some really bad stuff, but some really good stuff too.

if u are a beginner skier, go with the 169's. But if u are intermediate/advanced/expert, definitely go with the 177cm 1080's. Most twin tip skis feel shorter than they actually are (mostly because of a more center-mounted binding)

Dude if you live in England you're gonna be skiing where? Swiss alps? Germany? Austria? You're gonna want a 176 Skogen Sprang Pro dude, don't get 1080s, go Skogen or Mad Trix or something.

he needs something reel long like 215 220's cause he is just now getting skis form skiboards and that will make it far easier on him to make the change.

Tim yea i have been to Switzerland twice and going to Andorra this year. Whats wrong with the 1080? I have very limited choice of skis I can buy, there are only 3 shops that carry a small range. I can last sasons shit too. 1080 seems my best choice atm. but im gonna try snowboarding this weekend again to see if i can hack it this time so maybe ill end up with a snowboard instead.
