I posted this under another thread but wanted to get some replies and figured it'd be best to start another thread goin.
Anyways, I dreamed up this trick. I don't know if I can explain it well but here we go. :
pop off like you're throwing a rodeo, we'll say you're throwing to the right (clockwise), just to designate it. Now, when you get inverted and your legs are up over your head you would normally keep rotating in the direction you set, if you throw your arms back at the direction you came then you feel like you stop spinning and even though your body still comes around for the rodeo rotation, your body spins the other way.
SO, in the end, it's like a rodeo, 180 in the direction you set and 540 the other way.
When I'm in the air it feels like I'm doing a slow 180 backflip, then I throw it the opposite direction 540 to land forwards again.
I hope one of those ways made sense, what the heck is that anyways?
thanks,

ouch, seriously it looks pretty cool on the tramp. I stumbled across it this summer when I was just bein creative. I mean, I know tons of tricks and what they are but I couldn't figure out what this was. Another way I thought of it was that there's 3 axi to spin on. Y is like normal spinning, X is like a flat, and Z is like a straight flip. For e.g. a rodeo is using XandZ axi, where a normal spin just uses Y. Point to the rambling being it's like throwing clockwise on XandZ but counterclockwise on the Y. I'll try to post a link to a vid clip sometime. Oh well, if this doesn't help fuck it, heh.

I don't know... I'd call it something like an unnaturally-flipping rodeo, because if I'm getting you right then you're flipping to the side the way you usually would, but spinning the opposite way. What I mean is, when I rodeo I lincoln to the left while my body is spinning to the right.... so if I was to do what you're talking about, I'd still lincoln to the left but I'd also be spinning to the left. Are we on the same wavelength here?

what you just described is just a misty with weird style, like a foreward underflip without the grab

I'm pretty sure Kamikaze is on the right track. When I think about it, if I went more over the top it'd feel like I were starting a lincoln, and instead of the conventional coming around for your typical lincoln you spin a 540 the opposite direction.
