Currently own '23 arv86's looking for something more poppy for the park was thinking either the 2024 chronic 101's or the 2024 tom wallisch pro skis. What are your thoughts on this? Going to put my pivot 15's on either that I get. Thanks!

jumpman101Try on3p Jeffrey 100 great all around ski
Well here’s my experience, the Twall pros feel super sketchy for me, very thin ski not a lot of stability. Fun but they destroyed them selves so quick. I got like a season out of them, the chronics, I have nothing good to say. They were more durable, but that’s the only highlight. The shape of the ski is terrible and allows for very little pop, it’s just a flat ski tbh. No rocker and little camber. Honestly I would skip line, I’ve had my fair share of experience on them and wasn’t too impressed. Now just harping on something isn’t useful, so my suggestion is the Armada BDogs, super fun ski that feels similar to those but a lot of play. Some durability issues but not nearly as bad as line and the warranty program is pretty good too.
Do they have as much pop as the lines? Also what about Vishnu skis should I get those over the BDogs. Thanks.

In my experience the twall
pros have the most pop of any ski, but that’s what makes them break so easy, a light ski and just some practice is beneficial, depending on your weight and age you could look at some entry park skis the like honey badger which honestly is pretty good for the price. The bdogs do have as much pop persay but are super fun to ride lots of butters, a very soft ski.

Hey bud thanks. Also I have skied the Jeff series in park more than the filthy magnus and mango just for stability. The mango series is too soft for my liking. He may like them but Jeff series lines more with the chronic and how those used to ski like all mtn twin.

I had mango 100 for park and kartel(jeffrey) 108s for all mtn this season and I wish I just had some Jeffrey 102s to kill both. Jeffs are still pretty soft and playful, great ski imo. Had major issues with mango durability as they exploded in 2 months but my kartel are like 6 years strong and are holding up great.
Ik it’s cliche to say but I’d really stay away from anything line makes. It sounds like armada has really figured things out durability wise maybe try an arv 94. 86 to 100 is a big underfoot change maybe ride something in the 90s before u try anything over 100. K2 is great they’re doing a new “omen” series that is replacing the poacher, those might be stiff as fuck though. The reckoners have been revamped with durability and if you are willing to make a large jump in underfoot width the reckoner 102 is a great option. And if u have a big budget check out on3p Jeffrey 100s. Whoever said they aren’t a park ski^ is an idiot. Most of on3p’s pros are on it. Really anything over a 90 underfoot is gonna have that extra pop you’re looking for. Lots of affordable options especially with last years skis(just don’t buy last years reckoners) and I’m sure u can find something that fits u and ur skiing.
I stopped reading when you said armada figured out durability. You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about.

What do you think would get more butter the BDOGS, Vishnu wets or jeffrey 100s
I’d get the Bdog, then at least you have stability for doing large jumps, which you can’t do on vishnus.

Chronic 101 is the way to go. Plenty of rocker for butters and a solid camber profile for holding an edge. Low swing weight, super poppy and lively. Solid and durable through the full season. The improved topsheet, sidewall and edge construction this season was needed for sure. Able to go anywhere on the mtn. My favorite ski in a long while. Not sure why they get so much hate.
Thanks! Going with Vishnu instead I’ve had my eyes on them for a while.

Good choice. You’ll love them. Chronic 101 is way too wide for a park ski.

Must be a skill issue for you cause its definitely not too wide for me and plenty of others

pros must have skill issues too then because theres definitely not a single x game or olympic skier using anything over 98 width.

Shut the fuck up with your x games pros. There are more than enough amateur level rail wizards using skis between 100-110.
Right. Keyword here is amateur. If they were pros they’d be using skis that provide the best performance (anything under 98-97mm).
but they’re not, hence the word amateur
I’m so confused with your objective here you’re coming at me calling me a retard over a factual statement that I made. Just because someone wants to use a sub optimal tool for the job doesn’t mean it’s the way everyone else should
