This film is a self reflection on the feeling one gets from skiing. An attempt to capture the mindset for why we subject our physical and metaphysical selves to the elements and the unknown. A study of expression and passion. It is a response to life changing experiences shared with loved ones, all while rooted in the outdoors.
"Home Wordd II" is particularly special to me considering I shot it prior to sustaining a traumatic brain injury, and completed the project concurrently with my healing process. The release of this piece is truly representative of not just returning to where I was before the injury, but celebrating the growth which has occurred from it.
This film is as much a part of myself as it is a piece of the people I am surrounded by, nothing but endless love for everyone in this video and for those who made it possible. Although I lost months and memories, I was able to regain each day I had in the mountains with my friends because of these clips. I cannot describe with words how meaningful this was for me, but maybe I was able to convey it through the medium of film.

Always fun to see what an entire seasons effort brings together. Put some hard work into this one and had a ton of fun. Thanks to everybody who I skied with this season, it was one for the books! Also I have to give a big thanks to Line, Full Tilt, Stio, Smith, Momentous, Noso, and Backcountry Zero for supporting me year after year, y’all are the best.
I posted some clips a while ago of a game I had started working on so I thought I should follow it up with a update of how it is turning out.
A lot have happened since my last update, I got some feedback from some of you and I have tried to fix some of the problems that the game had. First off I have remade the character model and set it up a new skeleton, this is why the character is stuck in one pose and does not have any animations in the video. I got a lot of positive feedback for the in air movement with the ability to select if you want to rotate with flips, cork/bio or flatspins so this has been untouched. The only change to the in air movement is that the character will keep the rotation that you set and the rotation will decrease over time. A lot of people thought that the game felt and looked too slow so I have remade the movement from scratch with the ability to make faster turns and to have a overall higher speed. I have also added some wind effects(speed depending) to the characters jacket in order to get the look of some fast skiing. As requested I have made it so that the jump height is now determined of how long you hold the jump button with 3 different jump hights. The rail mechanic was really rought, the character where not locking on consistantly and would sometimes clip through the rail. This have been adjusted but there is still some stuff to do with the railing but it is so much better now. I have added a clothing system so you can choose your outfit and gear, I have made some simple clothes to test it out with. The clothing system is implemented in the new menu which works with controllers. The menu might not be pretty but everything is working as it should. There is two new maps, the first is a classic park and the second one is a urban map. I gotta say I really like how they turned out even tho they are not completly done yet. I have also adda a snow effect(speed depending) for when skiing and one for the landing impact, they look okey but need some tweaking. Finally, if you dont land good enough the character will go into a ragdoll mode for a few seconds to simulate a crash.
The next step is to start animating, with the goal to make the animations look way smoother that before. I will post a new video once it is done and I will try to get a proper recording software so the quality of the video dont have to be as bad as this one.
Finally, I still dont have a name for the game so if you have any suggestions please let me know.
Whatever "it" is, Cal seems to be in possession. Preorders available now vishnufreeski.com.

The countryside of Sweden isn't exactly the place that comes to your mind when you think of skiing, but what could you come up with if you had to put a limit to the area you had to work with?
Kim Boberg and Oliver Karlberg set out to film a movie in a place called Alvdalen, to use what you got instead of seeing whats not there.
This movie was filmed within the area of a maximum range of 1-hour drive away from Alvdalen.

We the Montana Bandits present to you, our first ever ski movie! We all agree that ski movies these days are getting a little too serious. We think some ski movies are becoming a little copy paste, and not proving to be as fun as we want them to be. This is our offering, our take on how ski movies should be. Funny, fun, and a little less serious than what else is out there. We produced, and premiered this movie entirely on our own dime, and it's been a blast. If we can do it, why can't you?! If you don't know where to start, in the words of the great Shane McConkey, "Get out there, and jump off something for crying out loud!"
Let it be known that this film is not intended to be watched alone. Before pressing play get yourself some good friends, a couple of oat sodas, and then... enjoy!

Precision: A term typically bestowed upon the engineering of luxury cars, high-end electronics, and chemical formulations. So how could an imperfect human's actions be described as precise? By what metric, standard, or baseline would we measure the precise execution of maneuvers in relation to their relative impact on stoke? PxS=I2, or S=PxI2, or even the perception of P2=SI2? Precision being it's own stoke multiplier provides precisely the correct ratio of fuel for fun, fantastic feats and fearless functions. This slightly less than precise description, having previously been used in a moderately varied and thus precisely imprecise exact quote becomes it's own stoke transmutater, as a classic example similar to transforming human precision, in it's imperfection, into patterns perceived perfectly precise. So ponder for a moment, are these maneuvers precise due to their precision, or is their precision found in the precise achievement of a, or rather the, reaction they previously targeted to evoke, with which they, in my humble opinion, succeed precisely. And precisely why then, if top the tater is so delicious on potatoes and their fried & chipped counterparts, does nary a potato chip company offer a top the tater flavor. I've seen pepperocini & vineger, sour pickle, and even peanut butter, but not a tater topped, and I dare say, were they to, the satisfaction to the senses would be precisely similar to the satisfaction and the stoke experienced via the indulgence of Episode 7, Volume 3 - Human Being : Precise.

36 years old and I had the best ski season of my life. What a trip. Extremely fortunate to get days on hill with the guys I was skiing with 15 years ago as well as gaining new friends along the way. I had no plans of making anything more than a little edit or two this season like we usually do. After linking up with the right people at the right time a couple days this spring this project created itself. The biggest thanks to everyone who was a part of it.
