Union (2003)

by InspiredMedia
Nov 2013 - 1.4K views

The story of 'Union' is awesome for our first ski film that we released in 2003. I quit playing hockey because of a surgery for my shoulder. At that time I was close to being a junior major. Then i started to ski because of the ski film 'Royalty'!! So, I began with filming my friends in snowboard and then met Dom Legare and Phil Warren in 2002. The next year I bought a GL2 and started to shoot whit them. My goal at the beginning of that year was to do a movie just for friends. Then I started to take it more serious when we met up with Charles Gagnier and is brother Antoine in Whistler! From there, Phil, Dom and myself started to think that we would be able to do the biggest movie for the up and comers of Quebec. Charles G. was the reason I met LP and than we decided after we went to Whistler to do a bigger movie. So, I went for a week in Mont St Anne at the second house of LP in the summer and we put this movie together. Most of the movie was shot by me, but Lp did all the editing. I was the general behind it making sure that we respect our origin! And AV started like that... From nothing to something! -Fred LaRue aka The Street

Apocalypse Snow

AWESOME MOVIE!

Postscards from Beyond the Last Snow

by InspiredMedia
Dec 2014 - 1.3K views

?Postcards From Beyond the Last Snow?is the latest web series from Geoff Stump of StumpFilms. It is part short story, part backcountry adventure and part video blog. ?I see what ski film companies are putting out now and I?m amazed. Everything is on a grand scale. My new series is simple.? No helicopters, no death defying lines, it is just a glimpse of Mountain reality. Stump ascends snow-covered mountains somewhere near his home in Colorado and picks a fun way to ski down. The backcountry trip frames the mountain story. ?Last spring when I was skinning up the mountains, I would let my mind wander and I would think of winters past.? Every episode will feature an athlete, event or story pertaining to mountain life. Each postcard is it?s own adventure. Postcards From Beyond the Last Snow Ep1 ?Mt. Sopris / SIA Denver? After starting the skin up 12,968 ft. Mount Sopris, StumpFilms sends a postcard from two young female skiers as they cover the fun at the Snow sports Industry of America show in Denver. Follow Stump and crew as they adventure in the Highest Region.

The Very First Ever Boardercross

by InspiredMedia
Feb 2014 - 1.3K views

In 1991, my old friend Greg Stump and I were completing 8 segments of "Greg Stump's World of Extremes" for FOX TV. We were shooting segment #7, and extreme ski contest at Blackcomb BC, with no idea of what we were going to do for #8. I had this idea in the back of my head for a long time about building a motocross style course for skiers, or maybe even snowboarders. After spending about 24 hours with a cat driver, trying to figure out how to push banked turns out of snow, we had created the 1st ever Boardercross course. Greg's accountant, John Graham spat out the name Boardercross, we grabbed onto that, and the rest is history. Here's that TV segment.

Oct 2013 - 1.1K views

Filthy Rich Productions presents "Proven Guilty", the third part in a trilogy of ski films. The fast paced skiing is captured entirely in Sony HD throughout the 07-08 season in the Greater Tahoe region. Snowmobiles provide access to Tahoe's finest terrain and secret deep pow stashes. The crew is caught on film blasting steep lines, kickers and cliff drops in the colorful powder filled Tahoe Backcountry. There is also evidence of destroying various resort park obstacles and greasing many jibs in the Tahoe basin. The technical skiing is laced with original music from the Bay Area and Hawaii.
