The Facet Skis team took a trip down to the Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre in Lynchburg, Virginia this summer. Despite a broken down main lift and multiple lightning delays, they were able to get some filming in.

Local legends tell the myth of a long lost man, shoulders 6 feet wide, who lives among the wildlife deep in the mountains above Fernie, BC. As the story goes, a shot from his 8-foot musket brings blankets of powder to the valley. Locals know him only as “The Griz”. Dylan Siggers among the other townsfolk has made a life of this tradition, finding purpose in the abundance of snow brought by this mythical man.

If you've ever been to Asia and eaten a rice triangle, you know that it is a delight. 2015 was a rice triangle year for me: I got married, graduated from college, filmed for level 1's movie for the first time, and traveled to Japan, Korea, Sweden, and Canada. 5 of the last 6 summers I have spent on Mt. Hood. I had nothing to train for this past summer so I skied for myself and accomplished goals that I have had for a long time. If this was my last summer on Hood, I can step away knowing I finished my way!

After over 800 entries, Léo separated himself from the pack due to his creativity and the technical difficulty of skiing this narrow canyon flawlessly - all while making us smile along the way.
