Armada long fit jacket.

I saw in a shop today that there were some armada jacket who were long fit. unfortunately i couldnt try them on.

anyone know how tall they fit ( sizing chart ) ? If not, I'm gonna have to go back to this shop with my tape and try them on.

^this, can someone confirm the measurements. I think the one's I posted are right, just because the long fit is 4in longer than the same size in reg fit on the chart.

The measurements you said are for the long length are for the normal fit jackets add and another 4 inches to that and you have long fit.

sounds like someone has finally got this sizing thing down.

i know kids find a certain prestige in wearing large sizes but if you are a small guy >5'7 you should need to buy S not L for it to fit well considering it's marketed at the newschoolers/freestyle market.

why do they need to buy small?
im 5'8"ish 9 and enjoy my large long coat and xxl sweatshirt.
i believe it is all personal preference.. there is no "certain prestige" about it.

does anyone know how the regular jackets fit. I want to the the cipher jacket - im about 5'6" and 150. either L or XL i just don't want XL to be upsurd but i have a pretty big chest. i have the lorenzo softshell in 2x and its not rediculous

rather than trusting a size guide and numbers. try it on for yourselves if at all possible. i personally wouldn't buy something if i questioned how it fit or how big or small it was and i had not tried it on for myself and was just looking at numbers and a tape measure. nothing fits the same for everyone.

On behalf of Armada, we are stoked to see your interest in our outerwear and we're sorry the size charts are so confusing.

Your best bet is to try on the clothing at your local dealer. That way you know exactly how it fits, looks and feels!

The reason a lot of your numbers don't match is typically you shouldn't measure the zipper length to determine the overall garment length because it includes the collar, which doesn't add to the garment length. The collar varies from 0-5". For example, our Range jacket has a 5" collar but our Fievel Hoody doesn't have one. Even though the overall length is similar, the Range's zipper is an extra 5" longer as a result of the collar.

The neck seam that is referenced in one of the charts posted in this thread, where the collar starts at the base of the neck, is a more accurate way to gauge the length - you can measure from the neck seam to bottom of the jacket.

A note on our fits...
Basically, we make all Armada clothing on the long side to meet the needs of our team and loyal customers. Everything is longer than last year's line from tees to hoodies to outerwear. Our standard fit is long as well and will satisfy most people.

The long fit is for you guys that want a REALLY long fit without having to size up to XX. It is another 4" longer than the already long 'standard fit'. The idea is you can (if you want) get your true size so it fits your chest and sleeves better than sizing-up to XX. Again, please try it on if possible.

i'm saying it's because they are small, you are medium and therefore when you go to buy clothes wouldn't it be nice to avoid all these sizing threads and just know you need medium. not have to work out how many Xs you need in front of that L.

this isn't a rant on tall clothing, i'm saying if you design something to be tall/baggy then it should be labelled appropriately

Just picked up my L static and L 5am cobalt pants, pretty stoked on the fit, I'm 6" and the L static comes to a bout 3inches above the top of my kneecaps.. perfect. Will post up some photos tomorrow when I can.

on a side note, bit disappointed with the fabric on the 5am pant, feels a bit "flimsy" like it would rip pretty easily... will take them to our indoor slope have a ski, take some pictures and do a little review on them for you guys!

So I just got a co-op placement at a ski store (Instead of going to class, i get a job and earn two credits instead of getting paid). They carry armada, but they don't have the tall fit stuff in yet, but they had a few jackets. All I can say is everything is amazing!!!!!! Quality is so good, everything looks better in person. I'm getting the Tetro Softshell in Purple, its already been put aside for me for when i start, I'll post some pics once i get it.

^its gonna be HUGE! but not like slim and tall huge, its gonna be so wide. I tried on the cipher in a medium, I'm 5'8 and 130. It went to like upper/mid thigh and was pretty wide for a medium.

I tried on a L today. The length seems good but the sleeves are way to thight IMO, but i was wearing a huge hood though.

So does the XL is longer or just wider ?

i think they fit very tall, i tryed on a large at a local store the other day and it goes a lil past my knees and im 5'6 5'7. sucks cause i love the jacket but the shop only had that size in

Oh, well I go to a school called freeridegymnasiet, and yeah, what we do at winter is skiing pretty much. And pics are not possible right now as I have no school and Im back home for the moment in Stockholm, I will probably get the jacket on this Monday if I am lucky, as there have been alot of trouble with my order :) I will try to get a picture then if I get it!

Well our schools working with alot of companies, they have got alot of contacts, so this year I got to order the Ross S4 jibs and FKS 180s too with 60 % off.

Hope that didnt leave you thinking!
