Rumor has it Anon has dropped the whole ski program, only those with contracts through 07.08 will remain on the product....all others are S.O.L. Saw that one coming.
yah i think these days hes just making shit movies and poaching footage through the woods. I don't know what the people at studio 411 were smoking when they decided to work with him on his new movie but it must have been some crazy shit.
1) I thought the product was great. Only goggles I like are Anon & Oakley
2) Bacon was fired long ago
3) The ski team (TJ) was getting too much attention for their liking compared to their snowboard athletes.. WTF right?
4) They only got into skiing for the $$$$$, a ton of which they made off of skiing.
Oh...and Burton is far from a shitty company, so long as you are not a skier.
And Bacon did work for them, and they fucked him. This all goes back to why Anon is dropping their whole program now. This has been in the making for a good while now. Besides the whole it got lost in the mail shit, Bacon did a pretty good job there, too good of a job for Burton. They tried to fire him for some stupid shit prior to his true firing.
i was excited about them having a ski team, and really any company that can support both sports. but that sucks. worse to have it and pull it than stay true.
Smith was always better anyway. I think Jake Burton finally realized that a company he helped spawn was supporting skiers and decided to do something about it.
i dont care if they dont support a team. if i like them, ill buy them. i have a pair now, which i like, and when i need new goggles, i see no reason not to consider them again if ive been previously happy with the quality, fit, and style
