Replying to TRIP PLANNING HELP

I have allready posted this in the Ski Gabber forum, however I figure if I posted it here to I might get some additional info, so if you are reading this for a second time, sorry.

My crew and I are attempting to plan a trip up to Vermont this winter and I ask for your help. I was wondering are there any good places we could build some kickers if we got a big pow day while we were out there? We aren't sure where exactly we're goin yet so anywhere whithin reasonable distance from say...central vermont would be great.
Last but not least, last season when I went up to stratton, I passed what I thought was some sort of night club for peeps to young to drink, anyone got any idea what I'm talkin bout? I believe it was somewhat of a main road, we were coming from around manchester towards stratton.
Any info on either question would be greatly appreciated.
