Replying to I want to make a ski edit

Hey Newschoolers,

So I want to go out and get some clips this season with the goal of making like a 3-5 min edit of my skiing, but I haven't filmed anything in years. I used to skateboard a lot back when the VX1000 was king for follow cam/fish eye shots and I liked that look a lot. Something with higher res would also be cool for short b-roll clips and other kinds of shots though too. What kind of handheld cameras are you guys into these days? What editing softwares do you like?

While I'm certainly not the sickest skier on here I have tremendous passion for it right now, enough to try to make the best edit I can anyway. I'll be staying in Truckee again and it would be sick af meet up with some other local riders and hook it up with some clips too. I'm 30 with a full-time job and most of my homies aren't down to hit street spots anymore, but I'm down to go after urban and park clips whatever works. Stoked to give it my all and see what comes out of it
