BradFiAusNzCoCaBasically immediately start looking at every company directly to see what they give and registering your pro deal for when stuff drops soon for the season. Then go the VR discount route. I know HH gives 60%, smith used to give an insane deal (I think it’s Oakley now). In a lot of VR resorts, the shops are actually vail shops meant to look like factory shops (eg Oakley). I remember as a ski instructor, around Christmas they’d give us one blowout deal of half off a whole setup (as an instructor) from their shops. Not the most amazing deal but not the worst at all.
What is your job? I found you could get way better discounts working in a shop. The deals the reps and connections gave me were insane compared to instructing
depends on what level of instructing/coaching you are and how long youve been working at the resort. i used to get previous seasons fischer and swix stuff basically for free from a regional rep. boots, skis, poles, gloves, goggles. (not that i would rock the uvexs)
working at shop tho, you dont really even need to buy skis. if you have a good relationship with your boss, your can likely just take the demos out all you want.
