Wondering who is out and about on the mountain this summer?

I'm working 5 days a week but I'll be lapping a bit in the day and on days off.

Met some cool peoples and ran into some old friends but just figured I'd throw out the thread.

It's pretty hot, its getting hit faster. Its melting fast.

Parks probably gonna be closed on sunday because of how hot it's going to be.

August is definitely too late. Probably one or two jumps that you have to hike. Public park in July sometimes isn’t even that great because they keep the snow for windells. Once you can no longer ski down to the magic mile is pretty much the end of the good days.

Been running into a lot more friends recently. A good friend from CO/east coast last weekend at illumination. A friend a few days agoi was camping with at beartooth.

Def some cool cats out here. Stoked for the summer. Hopefully she cools down!

What’s the deal with the elite pipe? I’ve seen a couple people I follow on ig complaining saying it’s bad, is this any different than the $25 extra it was last year to ride the “pro” ftc park? Haven’t been out in a month.

yes. the “elite” pipe is completely private and you can only go in there by paying another $90 on top of the FTC park. everyone in the pipe pays $200 per day which includes lift ticket. chris hargrave is trying to turn timberline into a training facility so they’re investing in airbags and private pipes. fucking elitist bullshit. democratize that pipe it was the best part of windells every year.

Elite pipe is so fucked. You have to hike out over rocks to leave the ftc if you want to lap palmer cause the pipe is the only snow path out and they put a giant fence around it and dont let people through

There was another pipe next to the big jump but the heat wave ko'd that shit. Bummer because I'd be lapping that all day.

Found out on sat i could lap the pipe. Was like sweet. Spent all day rolling up the spine airbag. Hoping the pipe still exists tomorrow. I think they took the rope tow off.

It was like a 2 hit pipe by the weekened but hopefully they keep it alive. Would be bummed now that mile pipe is done if this went at the dsme time.

I was glad to be able to go in the one pipe before it got turned into mush last wednesday. That was a fun week out there last week. I did not want to go back to boring work this morning after that much excitement.

Weekdays are definitely more packed then weekends due to camps. Saturdays are great, and sundays are rebuild days for the ftc so no park besides public. Also rails are basically buried on monday and melt out as the week goes on

Saturdays are way better. Sundays were sick when mile pipe was going.

That upper pipe was getting cut this morning. I'm in mile today but gonna take some laps up there when i can catch a break.

Tow rope parks will still be going 30th and 31, might get tow out after that. Public park might just be a hike park with some rails at that point.


Still some fun laps on the snow. Def melted out a bunch but its been holding up pretty decent and had some better temps.

Season's almost done anyway. Hopefully next year there will be more snow. It's held up pretty well after that heat wave but that week did some damage to the snowpack.
