I think part of what I like so much about skiing is being higher up and looking out over the land around us. Then using gravity to give us speed and the feeling of air rushing over your face, weightlessness going over jumps or off cliffs, etc all can correlate to flying. I got the same feeling I have for skiing the first time I ever flew in a small 2 seater
