Pico Mountain

So i ski at a smaller mountain and im just wondering if anyone has been there bc its pretty cool and i want some new people to ski with. plus i have some info on when the park might exist and whats gonna be in it.

yeah well woodward killington builds it and they had to do there parks first plus pico doesnt care about the park much anymore

Just depends on snow, but it's not uncommon for there to be no park or just a few small features until February at smaller/local hills where there's a limited budget. COVID has made things especially complicated in terms of building anything.

I've deff posted this before but...

Pico is Killington's sister mountain and therefore they spend most of their time/focus on dialing in Killington's parks rather than Pico which caters to a smaller, local crowd. That said, Pico has awesome terrain and is usually much less busy. (I also prefer the smaller less-resorty vibes.)

Randomly met a guide riding up a chairlift who showed my friend and I some cool tree spots and probably had the best day riding glades I've ever had on the EC

pico is a blast but i wouldn't even rip the park there (was working parks for killy/pico last season). op if your trying to ride park head to killington! you got more progression options and more people to ski with. if your looking for a more social day, all the young kids here wont hesitate to lap with ya. also, not too sure what our plans even are for the pico park this season so i'm curious as to what you have heard. ill try to do some further recon for ya.

i can’t afford a killington pass but i know. my pass does get me a couple opportunities to go tho, next year i’m gonna try to split it with my dad and get one

yeah man i hear ya. definetly is more expensive and that kind of is the entire point of Pico. i just always see you posting on here and that investment would 100% be worth it for you!

Where do you go to school? When I lived in Rut their was a discounted pass to pico $75 and you could add on the killington package for another $100. Times have changed but I'm pretty sure surrounding schools still do something

Ahh yea better to just bite the bullet and spend it next year that's dirt cheap considering non college passes are $959..when I was living in the area 03-'14 you saw a rapid decline in their park scene it was practically non existent when I left school

Pico is fucking sick, skied there for many years before I just started going to killington (worth the pass for sure). So many stashes to be found on such a small mountain and so few lines. Definitely worth a day trip

Pico is a dope mountain and has fewer crowds/better vibe than killington but the same type of terrain and snow. Been a few seasons since I’ve been there but I remember riding their park with pretty much all jumps but there were moguls through the whole damn place so the landings were pretty tough.

yeah i’ve seen it in the summer and i plan to check it out soon but idk if random people can just walk onto the campus during covid. it’s definitely there tho
