Bended_ToenailWhen my shifts stopped working I had to. It was painfully steep and very far in the Nelson Backcountry
driftsWhat made your shifts stop working
theabortionatorI can't imagine a situation where this would be easier/more efficient than just boot packing up.
Just boot pack it or get a touring settup.
katrinaAgreed. It sounds miserable, and makes me feel like if you can make one decision this questionable, what other questionable decisions are you making out there.
theabortionatorDo i really need to buy toilet paper if I have plenty of regular paper already?
WisconsinDogfarton a side note can snowboarders skate up the mountain with skins
FyckrBut, what would be worse, touring with only skins or touring with touring binders but no skins?

VermontDogFartthere’s a thread on this from 2011 but it doesn’t answer my question. do people really skin without touring bindings? my brother said his buddies did it when he skied saint mary’s glacier and that he’s seen people do it. i just wanna know if it works and if people really have done that
