yungonalooking to do a 3 day+ backpacking journey this summer and looking for some good trails probably going to do somewhere in the Sawtooths but lmk if you guys got anything else good
TnskiDude I got you covered, soon as I sober up I'll find some most righteous adventures
TnskiIce lakes near Mt. Maude/seven fingers jack would be a great one. I don't know how many days or if your after summits or what but if you go up chiwawa river you can follow the river about 5 miles and left to Leroy basin i think. Good camping and 7 fingers jack is right in front if you and is pretty self explicitly. Then you could go ti ice lakes by going over a ridge I think s or east if mt. Maude or drop down ti lower ice lakes via the far side of upper ice lakes. There us pumice all over the place wich is a trip. Fushing is better at lower. them mt. Maude is right there fir another summit. Then looo back the the Carne mt. Parking lot. Definitely would need a topo map, compass and altimeter because the trail is iffy in spots from Leroy basin ti ice lakes and ice lakes to care mtn. Anyway ice lakes have ti be one of tge highest if not the highest lakes in Washington 7300/700 ft and Maude and 6 fingers jack are about 9kft. Washington trails or summit post are websites that will give you more details. I know alot more but this requires the least amount of navigation. Probably August till early oct. Is best for ice lakes. Be very picky about weather in Washington, North winds are your friend in the cascades!!
TnskiFisher lake off stevens pass not super crowded and there's a trail right to it but you still would want a map Washington trails association website would have more info.

TnskiI didn't read about the sawtooth part but yes go there, I've never been over there but have drool on those maps, definitely a great area, check out wta website, trip reports, wta is hiking and trails with lots of info.
TheMoostafianEverything in WA sucks. Go check out Idaho, I heard they have cool stuff.
CaseyEveryone goes apeshit for the Enchantments. Probably because it’s a permit lottery system thing to get in. So that’s probably not going to work for you unless you want to wait around for a few years.
stinky_peteYou gotta admit though, it is pretty amazing. I didn't get a permit for the core but did the through hike and it was insane. Got a permit for 8 mile zone though and went to the top of Cashmere Mountain. Cracked a can of chile lime sardines at the top and enjoyed the 360 degree views
yungonayou need a permit to backpack? where at? must be pretty nice
