Ski Advice for a friend

He is:

5’ 8”ish

140-150 lbs i think

he skied on Dynastar Legend 75x 2018 last year and he’s gonna this year

Pico and Killington, VT so we’ll be doing all the types of terrain available at a resort on the east coast

Beginner

He wants a more flexible ski for sure

90-100 mm underfoot

probably not super expensive


i have been thinking: edollo, arv 96, arv 96 ul, honey badger, chronic, or blend

Blends are incredibly soft and really aren't the best choice for an all mountain ski. The arv, chronic, bentchetler and the reckoner 102 sound like good options.

i'd say take out the honey badger, ultralight, blends, and e dollos-- someone coming from a traditional ski doesn't need skis quite that niche i don' think unless he's going all out park this year and doesn't care as much about the rest of the mountain

i think the others listed could work, id choose something medium stiff 90s waist and not super directional or symmetrical. maybe consider skis like the rustlers etc too

bc100 perfect ski for someone learning because its soft but still has a back bone and you can do anything on it
