You get what you pay for, I actually profit more having happy , motivated employees who can afford to take a day off for kids needs, doc appointments, injury recovery etc, they want to work, they want to “be of use” when they aren’t treated like replaceable tools , they’re just leading happier better lives , my customers are dumbfounded by their politeness and willingness to adhere to “while your here” work etc, plus they got something good so they’re willing to work together and get along, there’s plenty of work, Covid created a garbage picking boom, facility maintenance boom, school and church cleaning boom, I may brag about things, my boat for example, that boat was actually bought to pick trash from rivers 😂 , it created 1 job for a local with no means of transportation, he now makes $360 a day , health insurance and no costs and I have a boat I can use sometimes 😌...did we need so many trucks, do I have to let employees use company truck free of. OST, no , but two of my best guys only had one vehicle and their wives needed them, so I bought two more. Yes I’m a Dick sometimes, but I’ll forgive and accept anyone, and my money is for my fam , and my friends, literally, if we’re skiing together and your shit breaks, I got you, if you can’t afford to go or take a day off, I got you, that’s what $ is for, taking care of those around you, doing what you can to spread the joy and it’s how I live, I’m very lucky to have the business and employees that I do.
