Replying to Boot Fit/ Flex Question
I just bought some new Nordica Strider 130 boots. I had them fitted by a reputable fitter, custom footbed, etc. They sized me a size down from my previous boot so they are super snug, but did a bunch of work in shop upon purchase.
I have been trying to wear them around the house today, and they are pretty rough. After about half an hour my toes are totally numb /pins and needles, and I need to take them off. I also have some tight spots above the heel, midfoot, toes etc.
Is this in the territory of take them back for more work before skiing, or try and suck it up and ski in them for a couple of days to pack things out a bit?
I'm also a little worried about the flex. They are 130s (I did ask more than once if I was better suited to 120s). While I'm 5"10 180lbs, fairly aggressive skier, and in good shape, I'm also not an "expert" skier. More so "advanced" and still improving.
In the house I can flex them so that the front of my knee aligns just in front of my toes, but I can't get deep into the flex. To get deeper into the flex I have to push against a wall or something for extra leverage. I also know that boots stiffen up in the cold, so worried I'm going to have issues flexing them on snow.
