Over half the people I know in skiing are hurt. 2 broken colar bones, disloacted shoulder/torn ligaments, broken growth plate in heel, severely broken leg(metal needed from ankle to knee), blown acl/lcl/mcl,
and these are just injurys from people I know relatively well, I've heard of many pros and up and coming pros getting messed up to, 2 broken backs, 2 acls, broken arm, and most recently this tanner business.
I guess skiing is just becoming harder on the body or something?

It's true, but it's because the sport is progressing so fast.
Hits are getting bigger and gnarlier.
It's bound to happen.
Injury is part of the sport.
Just try not to make it happen often.
