theabortionatorI'm just glad I won't live long enough to see suburbia encroach on all the nice open wild lands in this country. There are people that literally view it as "we've got plenty of land we're good" fuck that. I like some mountains and forests that don't have housing development, and walmarts on them.
Idk. We're just going to keep expanding and ruining the landscape forever. It will take a long time but it doesn't seem like we'll ever stop until we get there.
I see what your saying but the earth is actually alot bigger than most humans think it is. There is always going to be Plenty of wilderness out there for some pure/natural exploring.
i skied within 15 ft of a 400 pound moose in canyons resort in utah Yrs ago. So even a ski resort is pretty uninterrupted nature.
pretty much every state has areas you could go to find literally zero human footprint.
no matter how much suburbia spreads, you will still find wild untouched natural places, as long as the human population doesnt exceed like 50 billion people. But most estimates ive read say humans will top out at around 9 billion. So dont worry.
I mean the percentage of summit county Co that has at least 1 human within a mile of it is probably less than 10 percent. I dont understand how you dont feel the mountains are wild enough for you.
the ultimate dream is to build a megahouse in a wild area near a ski resort with huge panoramic view windows So you can watch the cougars and mooses wander trek through the snow during a blizzard without knowing you are watching them from inside your house.
human created coziness is one of the things i enjoy about life. I love the wilderness and the idea of being alone sometimes too, but for me its best if you can have both.
