I found the freestyle aspect to ski cross

didn't bode miller huck a 3 in a race? He also did the legendary fence wallride, IMO the most impressive thing ever done on skis other than maybe the guy who skied down Mt Washington in 6 minutes in the 30s

Yeah he did, but it was after he was DQ'd for missing a gate or crashing or something. It was a stereotypical racer 3 lol

yeah but as said it was just a little helicopter style guy off a little drop

his fence wallride, agreed, that is still one of the gnarliest things ive ever seen on skis

if you have a preferred one, can you link me to a good source on the mt washington in 6 minutes in the 30s bit? sounds awesome

Guys name was Toni Matt, he straightlined the Tuckermans headwall in 1939 (on what’s basically Nordic equipment) and beat everyone else in the race by a full minute

[opinion] Good lord skiercross skiers cant ski for shit. They failed at racing and now they fly off humps out of fucking control. [/opinion]
Mogul skiers have the best crashes. I always hope they are ok after a crash like that

What does ns think of skicross?
I fucking love watching it, it's basically mayhem each heat with people crashing out left and right. Keeps you on the edge of your seat. I think there's also probably some kinda slipstream and line strategy to it too lol bc you have to deal with other riders, unlike traditional racing of course.
It's like the cool version of ski racing haha
Btw I don't remember them having skintight outfits...

It's probably really fun. Any form of racing close to other people is fun, whether it's on skis, skateboards, go karts...

it's fucking terrifying imo. i like creating my own danger, not doing it with some aggressive idiot elbowing me in mid air

i did a legit course with some really good and gnarly skiers one time and we all agreed at the bottom, FUCK THAT let's go back to stuntin' one at a time
