GKSwhere does it become acceptable to chew someone out? I was in a lift line with my class (10-14 yr olds) and some random absolutely blew through the lift line and between the ~1 foot gap between me and one of my kids. bitched him out for that.

perhaps a little rude to the kid but they of all kids should know proper lift line etiquette considering they ski all the time.

troublemaker3I found a pair of poles in the woods one time, nobody around in sight. I picked them up and was going to drop them off at lost and found since I was heading back to the base lodge anyway. Im standing in the lift line holding two pairs of poles when this boomer without poles turns around and grabs them out of my hands yelling “You stole my poles! I’ll have you kicked out!” I said I was going to drop them off at lost and found. Then he went off about how he knows they are his because one of the baskets was broken.
Enzob007Boomer got extremely mad at me yesterday lol. So I’m sitting in the lift line at my small local hill with a couple of buddies, and we’re kinda zoned out. There’s no one directing the line, everyone just merges, and i see 2 groups go ahead of us so i figure its our turn to go. As I start moving my skis like 6 inches forwards, I hear a little kid next to his boomer dad ask “isn’t it our turn to go daddy”. I hear this so I turn to the dad and nicely say “you guys go ahead”, since I didn’t want to cut a little kid. He sarcastically answers “Well if you’re in such a hurry and your gonna go, just go” so I’m like ok whatever dude, and we go ahead. We start laughing a little bit cause this boomer was being pissed for no reason. Of course this aggravates him more and he starts saying “why are you laughing is this funny to you stop disrespecting me and my son, etc.” as we sit down on the chair I tell the lifty, watch this you’re about to get a complaint from this boomer behind us. Sure enough i turn around and watch him bitching at the lifty. We ride all the way up the chair and start heading off to the park casually, which is slightly uphill so you kind of have to skate up there. The boomer gets off the chair behind us and thinks he’s gonna be all cool and yells at the lifty loudly “Hey stop that guy right there, don’t let him get away!!”. Knowing I did nothing wrong anyways, I stop. The boomer comes over to me and gets way too close and starts yelling about how I was disrespecting him and his son or whatever. I just tell him to chill out and we’re all here to have fun, and not to be a sarcastic dick. He starts getting more aggressive and in my personal space and starts going off about how he’s my elder so i have to respect him or whatever (I’m 20) at which point I’ve had enough so i just turn around and ski towards the park and say “wow that boomers mad” to my buddies, which only pisses him off more lol. So we just sit at the top of the park and watch this boomer complain about me to the poor lifty who doesn’t want to hear any of it for like 10 minutes. Eventually the boomer goes away and the lifty comes over to chat with us laughing his ass off, saying that the boomer was repeating the same sentences over and over like 50 times, and claiming that “we kept cutting him repeatedly and insulting him” which was hilarious because this was our first run after like an hour break, and I had never seen this boomer before. He also demanded that i have my pass pulled which obviously wasn’t happening

Helltown_SenderJust happened to me and my buddy over at seven springs... we were skiing together and we go with each other >2 times a week so we know how the other skis. We were chilling on a traverse back to the lift (north face for the east coasters) and in the lift line we get rolled up on by the most stereotypical boomer skier there is, ya know old Scott goggles with a navy coat and matching stocking cap. And he bitches is out saying we were going too fast (he was just behind us and we didn’t pass him) and that my friend was going to kill a little girl if he skis that close to people (people being me) like cmon bud

ShadowXVXOne time some gaper was skiing at a few miles per hour perpendicular to the fall line on a black diamond run (Reg at Snowbird). Looked like she belonged on the bunny hill. I skied past her at like 70mph (not cutting her off or getting in her way or endangering her in any way whatsoever) and she complained to Ski Patrol about me and called me out to my face on the tram LOL

SkylineGTR_R32I rode up with a boomer at Alta today that complained for the whole ride up Collin’s about how he wishes they put supreme up Cathrines so he didn’t have to hike. He also said “I love they’re grooming all the steep runs so I can wizz by tourists and make them nervous”. By the top he was so worked up talking about tourists he said he was going to ski mineral basin through the gate bc “This place is boring and crowded”. Which by the way I’ve seen Alta far more crowded than today.
oldmanskiI rode up with a crusty Alta local a few weeks back when I was there and same thing, all he did was complain about visibility, snow conditions and how crowded it was. I almost asked him why he was even sitting on the lift. There seems to be just and little extra crustiness to the boomers there.lol
