Why isn't Henrik getting podiums anymore?

He still is doing sick stuff and progressing, but it seems like he is getting outpaced by the younger guys. I guess this is what happens in sports, but for making finals over and over, it's wack he hasn't gotten any medals lately

After Zeus struck the end of Ahall’s dick, allowing him to achieve optimal spin speed and style points, things became a little more difficult for everyone else.

That being said, really hoping to see Henrik podium in the coming events.

Henrik isnt done yet, that was just 2 comps and many are yet to come. Look at woodsie, as he had some rough seasons but still made comebacks.

I'm just blown away he can keep appearing in movie segments and compete and he hasn't disappeared for some major injury. Dude is on another level. How do you have time to train big air if you're filming urban all the time? I'm not saying he should, but if he wanted he could spend more time on the water ramps and less time putting together sick urban segments and probably win, but nobody wants to see that happen. How many movie segments does Joss Christensen have?

He's just the first person that came to mind. I hadn't heard of him before he got gold in Sochi. (Joss fucking killed it in Sochi, he deserved gold). I've haven't kept up with happenings in the freeski world for the past 3 years or so perhaps he's getting out there more and I just don't know. Still I stand by my point. It's really hard to dedicate time to movie segments and still be competitive. Henrik has been doing both for a decade. All the while the sport has become increasingly competitive. Maybe Henrik is slowing down, but I think he could still give the kids a run for their money if he wasn't so focused on doing it all. Who else from the past decade has as many metals and movie segments?

Oh yea he does alot, not denying that. To be fair to everyone else in the game, I'm pretty sure he's the most decorated xgsmes skier so no one's really going to stack up there.

Someone who comes to mind is Bobby Brown, I feel like he's been put out great sick movies while winning or being very relevant in the X games space. Also right now Ahall is killing everything, magna, the collective, just won the last two big airs, 2 gold's at last 2 X games.

Any how, no need to call out other pros least of all Joss. Most of the guys who are xgsmes slope finals are all smashing out tonnes of content too.

Couple issues with this argument. First of all the guy you called out, Joss Christensen, does a massive amount of work for the ski scene outside of competing by organizing slvsh. Obviously we can't know exactly how much time HH spends shooting segments or how much time Joss spends on slvsh but you definitely can't say that Joss only focuses on competitions, slvsh is his baby and I'm sure it takes a ton of his time.
Secondly the main guy who is taking all the competition wins right now, Alex Hall, put out a ton of quality content this year as well between all of his segments in the Faction movie and Magma. Doesn't seem right to say that A Hall is beating dollo in comps because he is more focused on comps when A Hall has had such a complete year.
Harlaut is just getting old, he has been winning ski comps for 6+ years, I'm sure his body has taken a ton of abuse. It's not surprising that it's getting harder for him to keep pace with the 20 year olds.

Bobby brown seems like a great dude and I have a ton of respect for him and his accomplishments, but i never find his content inspiring. I guess his style just isn’t for me. Am I alone in thinking that?

I mean he isn't doing any super crazy grabs, but he's super clean. Also when he threw the first triple cork my brain exploded. Idk I like those method grabs, and blunt grabs.

Yes exactly, if it really is top shelf, he should be getting top scores. Clearly he isn't. Seems like a dub 14 just doesn't cut it anymore

Henrik only has a handful of World Cup Big Air podiums from the past few years, idk what it is but he has never been as dominant compared to bigger comps like xgames or dewtour. So dont ya worry, ol' henny has plenty more in the tank. AHall has been or a tear lately but hasnt really introduced any truly new tricks, just perfected heavy rotations with his signature seatbelt. Henrik on the other hand always seems to be bring new flavors year after year.

i think the fis judges just want to see a more clean style, his landings look a bit wild sometimes compared to the other guys and his rotations are always new so they probably don't really know what to make of it but when it comes to the comps that are judged on overall impression like dew tour or xgames he scores big cause it just looks sick
