Is colorado the coolest state in the US?

I just watched realtime and right back where we
Started recently and it reminded me about how incredibly cool the culture/people are in colorado. Utah and the pc area are also cool but the culture is more strict and up tight law-wise compared to colorado.
I have lived only in summit county which may have spoiled me somewhat, but the people ive known from denver are all just as cool and laid back. What do you guys think? Is there a better place to be than the home of trey parker and matt stone?

This^ Colorado has too many laws. You can do whatever you want in AK and Montana hell they just recently got speed limits in Montana

I actually like my winters to be overcast and snowy.
I dont know why but i love skiing trees in powder when its dark and overcast. To me it feels like the whole mountain is a cozy home. Sitting Down in 3 feet of pow in the middle of a huge woods run smoking weed is one of my favorite memories.

As a slowly washing-up ski bum who lives in summit county, CO I'm going to say probably not lol. Taxes are insane, registering your car is insanely expensive, and rent is through the roof. 1 bedroom flats for $1,300+ a month... floods of people during peak seasons idk man. In my opinion, it's a battle to live here but I can't say I hate or regret it. Going to college at Western State in Gunnison was the best decision I ever made. Pros and cons anywhere you go. Montana is still the wild west though, and living there for a few years was the best time of my life.

Overcrowded, skyrocketing real estate and rent prices, most good places to live if you want a good job are farther from skiing than I would like, and the legal weed stores in CO are absolutely flooded with sub-par product. I'll pass. I've been there enough times to know that I wouldn't enjoy living there. Doesn't matter how "cool" people are, I see very few reasons to move there.

Utah has better skiing and better snow and isn't getting as overrun as Colorado (but still getting overrun). Too many Californians here too.

Summit is fucking death imo. I still can't understand my friends who go back every year. Western, gunnison, CB, Monarch are all rad. Stuff to do there but not complete over run. Even The town of CB still has some charm to it.

Summit just makes me anxious.

I understand. I think when folks think of cali they think of the clusterfuck that is southern california. The depravity that is L.A and the rampant PC cultural. But no where in this country or maybe even the world are you going to get our killer coastline, amazing mountain ranges, beautiful women and laid back vibe. Come to northern california.

Alaska is the coolest. (Seems obvious but I googled it anyways)
North Dakota is the second coolest.
Third coolest is kinda a toss up between Maine (year round) and Minnesota (winter)

Oregon has the 5th coolest summers so we've got that going for us.

Having spent a ton of time in Colorado, Utah, Montana, pnw and California...Summit County Colorado is by far the best and Utah/Montana are tied for 2nd. I recommend everyone move to these states if they wanna live near the mountains.

California is too crowded and expensive. And dont get me started on how much it rains in the pnw during winter which ruins the snow (washington and oregon). Plus the snow in california and pnw are much heavier/wetter bc of all the rain that falls almost weekly. really depressing tbh.

central oregon is very dry though, and gets snow comparable to colorado/utah/montana

Lived in CO my whole life, I've skied really good pow all across this state but nothing compared to my two week voyage out to Utah two years ago. The days I had in Alta that year was the best skiing I've done in my whole life. I really think Utah has better skiing than Colorado, plus SLC is closer to the mountains. But the mormon vibe there kinda freaks me out, they really do own the state and have laws that protect the hooligans from living there.

Honestly I used to never give a shit about Colorado cuz of how annoying it was when people talking about it, but..... I visited 3 times last year, winter and summer, and it's probably one of the coolest places I've been to. Colorado rocks mane. Vibes

People with brains. I spend my weekends skiing one of the best mountains in North America. I surf almost every day. The women where I live are hotter than anywhere else in this country. The main problem is the cost of living. If you can make enough money California is a great place.
