Replying to Safe to ski with composite material exposed?
Thanks in advance for those who respond!
I've got a thick chunk of the base missing all the way down to the composite material directly underneath. The affected area is very small but is deep, going all the way down to the surface of the composite (but the composite itself is not damaged or punctured, just scuffed). Should I get the ski p-texed/tuned immediately before skiing next or can I ski one time with the composite exposed without worry of water getting between the base/composite or possibly soaking up into the composite?
I really want to go skiing with my dad this weekend but probably wont be able to find a shop that can do the repair in time.
