Touring skis for pow chasing

Looking for a one quiver touring ski. Gonna be mounted with Kingpins, and skied in the Tetons. Primary purpose: going out of bounds to find pow and gnarly stuff to hit. I'm 6'2", 180lbs. I like to charge and go big, but also get jibby at lower speeds, and surf around in the trees. The skis I've mostly ridden are the Rossi S3, and the Rossi Blackops. I love the Blackops, and would like something that skis similar, but lighter. I really don't like the S3s. I've been looking at the Faction CT 4.0s, Sego Big Horns, Atomic Backland 109s and Bent Chetlers, and a bunch of stuff from Moment. Thanks yall.

P.S. I'd love some ON3Ps but I'd like to stick with brands that I can prodeal cause I'm broke as shit.

Sego sloppy joe as well! Pretty light and a very very fun ski! I quiver killed mine for kingpins. Pretty killer pow ski.

Right, I've been a little hesitant to go with a softer ski. I've rode a bunch of soft skis at the ghee, and they were all really fun, but a shit in harder snow. On the other hand, if I'm just using these to chase snow in the BC, I probably shouldn't be worrying about skiing tracked out crud on the frontside.

I am actually really impressed so far on their crud performance. Really solid underfoot and not an insane amount of rocker and decent camber. I can shoot you some rocker profile pics if you want. Full sidewall helps out too.

I like them more than my old chets that's for sure.

How do they feel in terms of weight? If I'm gonna use them as a dedicated touring ski, I'd rather have a lighter ski.

2100g....so the same as the Bentchetler if you have ever had your hands on them

A ski I haven't used but has been highly recommended on this site for the purpose you describe might be the bibby tour.

Bibby Tour, or Big Horn.
Sloppy would be cool too, but seems like too much ski to haul around as your one ski quiver.

You aren't wrong there...i was figuring it was a specific ski in a touring quiver for pow hunting. If you are only going to have one touring ski OP the big horn would be a better choice from sego.

Ive been focusing on building a similar one ski (touring) quiver. Ended up with the 189.9cm Black Crows Atris mounted up w/ Kingpin 13's. Absolutely LOVE IT!

good luck with getting a prodeal on the black crows, but I picked mine up on sale pretty cheap. Could easily find last years models on the low, as well.

Anima Freebird might be worth a look as well. Can't go wrong with Bibbys though.
