Bindings for new skis

I would get an adjustable pair if you think your foot is going to keep growing but if you want to go for a really good mounted option I would get the Look Pivot's I have them on all my skis and like them a lot more than any Marker Binding out there.

hmm if youre definitely going to grow in the near future, maybe it is a good idea to get adjustable bindings. im unaware if there are ones made for this purpose, or if you should just get the demo version of a good binding. hopefully someone knowledgeable on that will chime in here

first thing that comes to mind for a light but good binding is the tyrolia attack 13... here's a link to the demo version (great price too). like i said, ask around but i think it's a fairly safe bet that that's a pretty good solution to your issue

Marker has a line called the schizo series which not only allows for u to adjust where the bindings are underfoot but also the boot length so your bindings don't have to be redrilled. Below is a link for the griffon schizo.

Only thing I would be aware of it that some people think adjustable bindings have less structural integrity as there are more components hence it being weaker. Personally I've had no problems when I had my old schizo squires. Honestly if u were to get non-adjustable bindings you would be fine, as your feet are unlikely to grow + redrilling isn't that much of an issue tbh. Hope this helps

Yeah I have an anti marker bias so those didn't come to mind but yep another good choice

And yes agreed, as with most things equipment related, the fewer parts the better. But if OP knows his feet are growing it might be worth it

Demo bindings would be the best option for a ton of adjustability, but as others have stated, it might come at the cost of durability.

All bindings have some sort of adjustability fore and aft, with Tyrolia's having the most (32 mm) and Look Pivots having the least (stated 20 mm, but the usable range is much smaller). For these regular bindings, when you adjust in length for larger boots you are moving yourself back on the ski, although I'm not sure how sensitive you are to mount point (and it also depends a lot on the ski). Since Demo bindings move both the toe and heel, you can get pretty close to the exact mount point no matter the BSL.

If your foot grows you'll probably get taller too. you could get a demo binding but i like being dead center mounted. assuming you'll probably mount those skis back a little since they're pow skis. if you get a demo binding then back it up again your gone be skiing way far back on your skis.
If i were you just get pivots and remount later on if needed. i wouldn't worry about growing out of your boots in one season i ski park 95% of the time and ride a boot size down intentionally.

You have one option on a fully adjustable binding...and that a demo binding. They aren't normally for sale unless you can find a sales associate at your local shred shop that will sell one to you. They also will most likely have to order it. With that being said, the Marker Griffon will have a little more wiggle room in the heel but depending on how large your foot gets, you may still need a remount. The same goes with a Look SPX 12. The Marker Schizo doesn't adjust like a demo plate. All that allows you to do is move the binding forward and backward. Example: I feel like going center mount today, lemme get my screwdriver out and move my bindings forward for an hour or two.

So to end all of that information, I would just mount up a solid binding from Look like an SPX 12 or NX 11 (since you're not fully grown) and just try to get as many years out of your current boots as possible.

another thing to consider is how long you plan on keeping the skis and how many pairs of boots you plan on getting over their lifetime. most skis (when well taken care of) can take 2 or 3 mounts just fine. you could get a set of fairly adjustable bindings and if you end up having to move them before you outgrow the skis then you can just re mount for more adjustability. if you do this find a shop willing to mount the binding with the heel piece adjusted mostly forward in the track to give you room to grow. that plus a re mount or two should give you about 6 or so cm to work with and that should last about the life of the ski assuming you will also get taller and outgrow them eventually. plus you also get to use sturdy bindings, not demos.

If you're thinking about slapping a pair of demo bindings on them, I have a set of Tyrolia Attack 13s with a brake width of 115 I would be willing to part with. They're currently on my Kartels but I'm remount in them with fks's I just purchased. Only got 8 days on them. Would sell them to you for around $60 bucks, since I no longer need them. They're in great shape, never prereleased in them and they've been stored set to the lowest din, so the springs won't lose their power over summer.
Great thing is that once you've finished growing, you could then either buy a new set of sticks, or get another pair of bindings for your current skis. Lemme know if you're interested!

Most bindings have a small amount of adjustment, like one boot size, so tbh you'd probably be fine until you'll need new skis. If you do need to go even bigger, a binding remount costs shit all, and takes 15 minutes, so in all honesty, I'd just get a regular pair of good bindings (pivots, sth) and if you do need to go bigger, just remount. Saves the weight of demo bindings too
