I’m a Mechatronics engineering student. During the next semester, we need to start our final project. We are planning to build a prototype like the Google’s self-driving car. A prototype chassis need to be designed for installing the engine. We need to find a way to reduce the weight of the chassis but the car should be safe. The golf cart is a good option for this or else need to build a custom designed body.
I was in search for a precision sheet metal fabrication company in Ontario to help us build our dream project. Few of our friends who are good in programming are also helping us in this project. Has anyone tried building any custom cars? How did you manage the weight of the body and chassis? If anyone did any projects related to this, please share. Waiting for your reply.
