Replying to Any experience with EU work visas specifically German or Austrian?

Hey there guys. USA guy here. I know a lot of people on here have worked in different countries. I've never worked in the EU before and lost out on a job a few years ago because of not having an EU passport.

I'm wondering if anyone has any tips for getting a visa. I know there are companies you can use to apply through as well as the official websites. Wondering if those companies have any more leverage in getting visas or if it's irrelevant and a waste of the extra $.

I have a contract(obviously depending on me getting a visa) for both countries. So there's that. But it still seems tough. I'm hoping with 2 spots being in 2 different countries I'll double my chances for success, but who knows.

Has anyone from the states worked in either country and have any tips?
