Wood rails?

Ive seen wood rails done a few times but ive never tried one. Would a wood rail work or would it not be slippery enough. Does the wood make it harder or anything?

I cannot imagine that it is possible to slide one with skis, but if you do it it would be cool.

anyways, yeah it's possible, there's a pic of one of the stept productions boys slidings a wood 4-kink here on newschoolers, it was on the front page a little bit ago

Yeah it is deff. possible I had slide trees before... But that isn't to say it is not sketchy

the slide TONS of wood rails in vids, the one in high five and wicked from dubV is tight. I love walking up those stairs knowning its been slayed by great skiers

wooden rails are good to learn on because theyre not as slippery and dont hurt as much when you eat it

yes it is completely possible. a knotty, twisting tree fell in my yard and i slid it fine without prepping it at all. but when i hit some urban wood rails we just froze some water on them and put snow on top to make them slide better.
