Best Ski Wax for the East Coast

What y'all rocking for wax? About to buy some more not really sure what to get. Usually have been using swix all temp the past couple years and it works fine. Looking at potentially moving up to a fluorinated or just switching brands or even more temp specific....

Ski in southern VT usually for reference. Any recommendations for a really good wax? Price is no object either.

I use swix fluor -10 to -32c most of the winter. It keeps me from sticking on rails and is fast when its cold

well working in a shop has its perks so i normally just hot box my skis, but if i dont i like swix bio race red or toko HF red

I like to bring a thermometer to the mountain with me and test how cold the snow is. I then wax accordingly... lol but for real I use 10-20 degree wax because its never too cold in the northeast

I ski at Mt. Snow for about 95% of the season, and I've used Swix CH5 Hydrocarbon (7-18deg) for deep winter, and Swix CH8 (25-39deg) for early/late season shreddin'. They're both pretty fast and last long between applications. Worked great for me! And they're only about $12 for 60g {individually}.

On any given day, I don't often stay in one particular area on the mountain tho. I kinda just bounce around the mtn and hit-up whatever comes to mind: so I can't say how well either wax performs specifically in park, or just groomers, steeps. bumps, etc.. But overall, on any given run {and temp. according} both waxes performed fine imo

I know it may be hard to get but when i went to whistler last year i got some of this choco wax from a store pretty sure they have a site and it worked real well rest of the season on the east coast.

I've been using Toko red wax. Works well for every month of the season and is quite cheap.

When I was cross country skiing there was a big emphasis on using fluorinated waxes, and high fluorinated during races.

For freestyle it's really just not necessary. There is no way that you will notice a performance difference big enough between CH and fluorinated to justify the massive price difference.

Sorry for double post, but meant to say also that just picking a wax with the appropriate temperature range is fine, don't use all temp wax. Using specific temperature range wax will give you all the performance boost you're looking for. I've used SWIX for years.

Thanks will try this...going to order a few brands today. Noticed my all temp last year really lagging behind my buddies and made me furious. Need more speed.

Getting a base grind is also a good idea if you're finding them a bit slow. Good luck!
